The interns from IMS School of Mass Communication are placed with organizations of repute for about 4 weeks Internship which is a rigorous project assignment during which they gain practical hands-on experience and benefit from networking opportunities. The Internship component of the School aims at minimizing the gap between knowing and doing and thus produces media ready professionals. It provides a valuable platform to orient the students with different media functions in eminent organizations. The Internship is a powerful source of gaining practical experience that helps to become leaders of tomorrow. Field based Internship provides linkage between theoretical concepts and practical experience. Also it promotes media-institutional alliances.

The students take this Internship program seriously and interact regularly with their faculty mentors in the college. These faculty members take a regular feedback from the company on the performance of the students and mentor the students accordingly.

Each student on completion of this Internship program submits a project report under the guidance of a mentor from the associated company and the institute. This project report is followed by a presentation by each student using AV aids, as part of his/her curriculum.
