About the Program
 
LLB is a Three Year Degree Program affiliated to the HNB Garhwal Univeristy (HNB) Srinagar and duly approved by Bar Council of India. The highly coveted and prestigious course has proven credibility and value of legal profession. The course curriculum is so designed that it gives an edge to our students over others in almost every area of Law including the recent developments like IPR (Intellectual Property Rights).

IMS School of Law would be transformed to an ideal institution, where each student is empowered with the knowledge, passion and drive to excel as leaders in the legal profession, judiciary, public services, non-profit/non-government organizations and corporate world.

Value addition programs
 
Various technical joint certification programs are organized in association with our training partners to enhance the professional skills of our students so that they have an edge over other. The programs which are conducted on regular basis are:
 
  • Foundation Program: To create a strong base of the basic concepts of law, each student has to undergo a Foundation Program of a week where their understanding of basic legal concepts of Criminal Law, Company Law dispute resolution is developed.
  • NIIT Certificate Program Swift: This 25-hours practical program gives the student an insight into MS-Office (MS-Excel MS-Word MS-Power Point & Outlook)
  • Art of Living YES Plus Program: This 30-hours program from the best trainers of the Art of Living Organization under the leadership of Shri Shri Ravi Shankar globally helps the students learn how to lead a stress-free life.
  • Court Room Exercises & Moot Court: The students are introduced to learn through moot court where they are required to prepare arguments on behalf of the defendant or may be asked to sit as judge and deliver judgment of cases-presented before the moot court. Every case presented before the moot court is followed by a discussion.
  • Personality development programs: Outsourced rigorous training is supplemented by inhouse sessions conducted for the students to develop holistic personalities with high level of confidence and communication.
  • National Study Tour: A tour to an industrial destination is taken to give the students an exposure in leading universities and manufacturing Units of that specific city to witness various proceedings at  High Courts.
  • Disaster Management Certificate Course: A 30 hours disaster management certificate is offered by AGWS where the students are trained to handle any kind of natural disasters.
 
Moot Courts, Workshops & Seminars
 
The school conducts many workshops, moot courts, conferences, legal aids camps, seminars and Internship programs as per the requirement of the profession, affliating university and BCI. Some of the activities regularly conducted are:
 
  • Seminar on Right to Information by experts
  • Workshop to improve communication skills
  • Seminar on Juvenile Justice
  • Seminar on Cyber Laws
  • Regular Legal Aid Camps are being conducted to provide legal aid for the deprived section of the society.

In addition, we facilitate participation of our faculty as well as students in external activities besides such Wokshops and Moot court activity.
