The Unison School of Law, established in 2005, aims to provide an excellent environment for the students, and within a short span of time, to become one of the highly respected law schools in the country. We expect students to come from all over the country, as well as abroad, and study here, in a friendly and supportive environment with excellent computing and library facilities. The dedicated faculty covers all the major fields of law, including international and human rights law, business and commercial law, legal theory and public law, plus more specialised areas like health care law and ethics, criminal law, family and welfare law, intellectual property law and genders laws etc.

The mandate of UNISON School of Law promoted by the Unison Group and the IMS Society shall be as follows:-

• To make law and legal process efficient instrument of Social development.

• To develop in students and research scholars, a sense of responsibility to serve society in the field of law ……. In regard to advocacy, legal services, legislation, law reforms and the like.

• To advance and disseminate learning and knowledge of law and legal
  process, and their role in national development.

The aim of the two programs currently offered is to enable the students to develop an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of Indian Law and Social Policy as it applies in a number of different fields. A more sophisticated appreciation of the Indian legal system and the constantly evolving polity, is to be fostered. The programs are assessed via a combination of written examinations and assessed essay work. All students must also prepare a dissertation.
