Faculty Development Programs

The architects of the new age business and academic world are undoubtedly the teachers and researchers who through their research based quantitative and qualitative inputs can make the desired difference. This can be facilitated by good quality researches, skills to procure and manage voluminous data, knowledge of sophisticated research techniques and the operating ease of the latest statistical software. Moreover, the competitive times and regulatory guidelines by the AICTE/ UGC have necessitated the need of effective research, constant academic development and world class research based productive contributions to the cause of building a strong academic fortress of the country.
Recognizing the need of hour, Institute of Management Studies, Dehradun has launched a series of "Faculty Development Program on Research Methodology and Analytical tools" to quench the teacher's appetite for research. Through this, we are trying to provide them a professional platform.
We have already conducted two FDPs in the series and intend to organize more in the months to come. The FDPs conducted are:

Faculty Development Programme on Research Methodology (5-6 November 2011)
The first FDP in series was conducted on 5 and 6 November 2011 with an objective of imparting basic knowledge of research and research methodology, enabling participants to identify and apply the right techniques while conducting research and familiarizing them with the use of SPSS; the most commonly used statistical software. We had invited eminent academicians for conducting the FDP, including:
