| Governing council |
Governing Council of IMS Dehradun is the main decision-making body. As a not-for-profit organization, IMS enforces stringent guidelines to ensure that legal regulatory requirements are consistent with the law, transparent and enforceable. The Governing Council usually meets once in a 3 month to discuss all issues related to the Institute, its progress in different areas and future course.
Members of the Governing Council are drawn from different fields in the society and the Institute. It comprises promoters of the Institute, a nominee of the affiliating University, a nominee of the State Government, and the other educationists and industrialists nominated by the Society.

| The Governing Council sets the general direction for the growth of the Institute, and formulates policies and guidelines for functioning of the institute. It reviews the overall functioning of the institute from time to time and provides necessary guidelines. |
