Dean Training and Placements
Our commitment to professional education, ethical and sustainable practices, incorporation of value system in right proportion of technology, and innovation draws top-notch students as well as business leaders towards our Institute.
The Institute has an extremely strong placement network with its team spread in different metropolitan towns of the country to capture the recruiters spread across the country. Also the T&P Departments of different Institutes under the Group work in close coordination with each other to create most opportunities through pooled campuses.
We at IMS understand that the eventual dream of any student entering a professional course is placement and we make every possible effort to nurture this dream of our students .From Day One , when they enter the campus we train them, sharpen them up to help turn their dreams into a beautiful reality. 100% placement is what the Institute targets at and we have been maintaining a placement high of close to a 100%.
The Industry rich curriculum in perfect blend with short term projects, Internship, live projects, workshops, seminars and guest sessions from industry and thought leaders help IMSians create new benchmarks

The Institute has moved up the ladder in all B-School Surveys this year. Keeping in mind the challenge to create and set new benchmarks in the Industry , the Institute added a new dimension in its overall offering. A multi dimensional training & Placement (T&P) Department was conceived and put in place in the last quarter of the year 2010. The Department consists of a Dean Training and Placement, Head Training & Placement IT, Manager Training & Placement Delhi Office, Manager Training & Placement Dehradun Office, Training & Placement Officer , T&P Coordinators for each department, T&P Assistants and Student Coordinators.
Training & Placement Officials facilitate Pre-placement Discussions, Conducting Tests & Interviews during the Corporate's visit to the Institute and ensures best standards of Hospitality of the Campus Hiring Team.
The Placement Department is, guided by a set of rules and principles strives to maintain warm relation with firms. Preparing the recruitment schedule for the year, inviting firms for pre-placement talks on campus followed by final placements, and overseeing the process to its end are responsibilities that the Placement Department endeavours to carry out successfully.
The Department also went ahead signed of a unique Memorandum of Understanding with HDFC Bank Ltd for training and final placement of its MBA students. The MoU leads to the offering of a Joint Certificate Program offered together by the Institute and HDFC Bank to the Management students.
The Team warmly invites corporate firms, banks, research organizations, government institutions and non-government institutions to be a part of the Placement Process at Institute of Management Studies, Dehradun.
